I don’t know about you, but when I wake up in the morning during the fall, I have the hardest time figuring out what to wear for the day. The mornings are cool, the days get warm, but then it gets cool again since the sun is setting earlier in the day.
So what’s the solution? Well, it’s all about the fabric of your clothes. You want something lightweight when it’s a little warmer out, but something that also has enough substance to keep you warm when it gets cool…
Ok. So let’s say it’s a Friday morning in mid-October. It’s been a long week and you’re ready to relax and enjoy the weekend.
You wake up in your warm and cozy bed with your head still on your gorgeous silk pillowcase (because silk is cool to the touch and does wonders for your beauty sleep! Really, I’m not joking – read some of my other posts about the wonders of silk!) and you’re lying there thinking about how you have to get out of your comfy silk PJs (again, silk does amazing things for your skin and hair! I swear by it!) and into your work clothes for the day.
Right now, the morning is a little chilly. But the day must begin. You slip into your FUNction pants, Athena sleeveless shirt, and throw on your bamboo Diana cardigan. Cute and comfy, but still classy and practical. Both the bamboo viscose and silk fabrics are lightweight and breathable, yet still keep you warm and comfortable. Perfect.
You continue on with your day, obviously in style, and before you know it, you’re done with work and back in your car.
So what’s next on the agenda? Yoga class at the gym. But the sun is going down and the air is cooling down with it. You throw on your fleece Cherokee jacket over your bamboo yoga pants and Spring Zing shirt (or Bella, depending on how chilly it’s getting) and head out the door. Bamboo is great because it’s super absorbent, breathable, and moisture-wicking, just in case you get a little too warm during your workout. Not to mention it’s ridiculously comfy.
After a great class you head home to shower before meeting up with some friends for dinner. Again, your house is a little cool, so after drying off with your Organic cotton towels (yay for being practical AND helping the environment!) You toss on your super plush Venice robe and bamboo hair towel to warm up and dry off. Again, the bamboo fibers are so great at keeping you at just the right temperature and absorbing all the moisture!
Dinner time! It’s always great to catch up with friends and share a few laughs over drinks. I don’t know about you, but I like to put a little more effort into my appearance when I go out, but I also like to be comfortable. Bamboo leggings and tunics are an absolute must for the fall. Again, those bamboo fibers are PERFECT for the weather. This is my go-to outfit in the fall. It’s cute, it’s comfortable, and it goes great with a pair of boots (another one of my fall favorites!)
After an awesome evening you head back home and you’re exhausted. It’s been a long day! So what do you do next? You put on your coziest, warmest, most favorite bamboo pajamas and slide back into bed with a hot cup of tea and some Netflix. What could be better than that?!
